Keep your existing number
Change the phone system, not the number your customers know. Eligible numbers can be moved to Confluxus after checks with your current provider, and your existing line stays active until the switch date is confirmed.

The old landline network is closing
BT plans to retire its traditional copper phone network by 31 January 2027. Business lines, alarms and card machines that still use it need a plan — we can check what you have and move it over in good time.
Questions, answered
Important information about 999 calls
- 999 and 112 calls are free and can be made from every phone and app on your Confluxus system.
- Emergency services are given the address we hold for each of your numbers. Tell us straight away if a phone moves to a different address. Calls made from the app away from that address may not show where you are.
- VoIP will not work in a power cut or if your internet connection fails, unless you have a backup. Keep a charged mobile phone available.
- If anyone relies on their landline — for example, they have a telecare alarm or no mobile signal — tell us before you switch and we will provide a free solution so they can still call 999 during a power cut.
